Quick handout after a long day at clinic. Gave out two meals but the second homeless person did not want to be photographed. He even tried to return the meal which I just left with him of course.

The growth is happening! Australia day #1 has been completed by a generous volunteer. I am very happy to see that what started out as one person handing out food in one city turned into something much more. This is only the beginning – REACH OUT AND VOLUNTEER FOR YOUR OWN CITY!!!!

I’m thrilled at the level of support we’ve been getting. Despite all of the hatred, I think I am beginning to see that the foundation of this project is solid enough to scale and last for a long time. NO overhead, no people on salary, and no wasted funds. I just found out about a project called Sean’s outpost from reddit earlier today: in my opinion that is the perfect example of what NOT to do. A simple crash in crypto price completely ruined them – and they were also not keeping track of funds as well as spending 90% of their funds on mortgage, insurance, and employees. TERRIBLE.

Here are the pics from an earlier trip to philly where I gave out peanut butter sandwiches. I am really liking having everything stapled together. Less of a mess for everyone involved!

I’m beyond thrilled to see this project picking up some steam. A really enthusiastic volunteer contacted me last week and we made arrangements. She went out in Toronto yesterday and handed out some home-made egg salad/sandwiches. Check out the pictures! And do NOT hesitate to contact me regarding volunteering like this.

This was the first time I was able to prepare something at home from groceries, and actually wake up in time to successfully have everything ready before even going into the city.

I was able to find 3 homeless people today, but the last one didn’t want to get photographed (completely understandable). I’m glad to be prepared, and also to minimize the costs of the meals significantly. I’ll be able to give out a ton more meals if I go this route.

VOLUNTEERS: we had a decent number of people reach out and volunteer to hand out food and get reimbursed in crypto! So far, there are several from different countries – so I await the results/pictures. Hopefully more to come soon.

Overall, this is our 12th day out. Our L.A. volunteer decided to go out once more and this time chose to donate some checkers food to the homeless. Just one meal but hey, every single meal counts.

Don’t forget folks, this entire project is about spreading an IDEA. This isn’t just about feeding a few homeless people, but rather reminding each other that we are all human.

So recently I was contacted by someone in LA who volunteered to donate and take pictures for us. In-N-out burger was the choice and two people were given food. This is exactly the kind of good work that I want to see more of! What started off as just one person can eventually become a big movement. Today I went to subway after my clinic time was over. Meatball subs, fully loaded. Don’t really have to say more than that. These homeless guys definitely ate better than me today – and maybe it should be that way always.

These past few weeks, I have received more support AND hate than I have ever seen online in all of the time I have been on the internet (I am 33 y/o by the way). What a funny place. No matter what, I know that I will not be able to satisfy everyone – either the meals are “too cheap”, or “too expensive”, or “no receipts = didn’t happen” or something else. But always something…

I realized the only way to combat this is with an onslaught of pictures – of giving out food/water.

This past week, I began my rotations. It is time consuming but sometimes we are let out early. Today was one of those days – so I decided to go out again and help the homeless. I went to the halal truck because it is fairly priced, and they give huge portions. AND it comes with a drink. (also I like supporting local businesses like this)

Finding homeless people around the area is NOT easy sometimes. I actually ran into one of the homeless people I helped a while ago again – so he was happy to see that I had something for him once more. I had to drive around and finally found another homeless person walking around. I told the truck owner about my project and he was happy to endorse it – even offered me a free meal but I declined. Something I noticed today was that one of the homeless guys asked me for money even after I gave them this food. This just reinforces the notion that giving them help in the form of necessities ensures that they are being protected even from themselves (especially in the face of severe addiction).

we had a volunteer in NYC give out some food. Very glad to have this project spread to our neighboring city! We need as much participation as possible!!!! I am considering making a larger flyer using multiple sheets of paper combined for better photos. Any suggestions are welcome of course.
