Covid 19 and going forward

I have been doing a lot of thinking regarding how to best move forward during these harsh times. I think the most important thing is innovating when possible in order to both take care of the homeless while at the same time respecting our volunteer’s safety.

First and foremost, we want to take a firm stance on safety – everybody should maintain a safe social distance from one another at all times. All volunteers should only participate fully adhering to our suggested safety measures as well as understand the risks being taken even then.

I believe that the best solution as of now is to prepare/purchase meals that will be dropped off at a nearby location (down the street) from homeless people. Pictures can be taken from far away and the homeless should be alerted to the drop off of the food. In terms of QR code visibility, we are fine with just the pictures from far just for the proof of the act of charity. (This is the internet after all – if there is no documentation, it might as well not have happened).

More to come !

Mining support

We’ve had a great amount of support thus far – I have been contacted by various individuals regarding different methods of support. One really interesting/cool way a few have chosen to help us is via mining. I would suggest using AIO miner and have it point to our wallets; For the average person it would end up giving us about 25 – 75 cents per day but that really adds up over time. You can literally buy someone a meal by keeping your computer on and mining for a couple weeks! Contact us if you are interested!

Starting off

I am not a stranger to helping out those in need, but today I decided to create this site to make it easier for everybody to participate.

I have lived in some very bad areas as well as have had several close friends/loved ones go through homelessness and poverty. It is not an easy journey, but even the smallest act of kindness can sometimes result in something truly amazing.

The crypto community is an interesting one, since we’ve never had anything like this before. I believe that right now, adoption is a problem and this may be a good way to get cryptocurrencies exposure. Also, my intention for this was to just start very small and go from there. Sandwiches/hoagies and water will be the primary goods provided to the homeless! Philadelphia first! And then there are plans to expand this asap.
